Healthcare can be a real pain when trying to reduce costs. Just one medical emergency can throw your financial goals out the window!
This page will be used to post all the great healthcare reducing resources that I can find. So keep checking back. If you have any healthcare saving tips or resources, PLEASE let me know at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A few tips…
- Learn and understand your insurance plan. How much is your deductible? How much is your co-pay? What doctors are in network? What won’t your plan cover? If you don’t understand how your plan works, give your insurance company a call and have them explain EVERYTHING to you.
- Go for a high deductible plan and take advantage of HSA or FSA’s. This switch alone can save you hundreds every month on premiums. If you don’t go to the doctor on a regular basis, then this might be a great option for you!
- Shop around. This goes for insurance and for anything else. Need blood work? Shop around for the best price. Need some meds? Shop around. Need an MRI? Shop around!!
